Topic: the energy of worry

Life has made it difficult to write these guides as often as I would like. The lovely thing is that until I write about a topic I am given, the message keeps coming back to me. About three weeks ago this topic was brought to my attention. It is on the tail of the previous guide discussing the impact of our energy on eachother. Being mindful to clear ourselves and to be aware of the impact of others energy on ourselves.

This time I was given very specific information about a particular way in which energy impacts us and those around us. My attention has been drawn to the energy involved with thoughts. Many of us are very aware of physical energy. We walk into a home or space and something does not feel right. We notice that certain places seem to carry heavier energy that tends to leave us feeling sluggish. With the holidays approaching we find ourselves acutely aware of the impact of being around certain people who tend to leave us feeling drained. The last guide discussed these situations and how it is important to clear and to removed the cord attachments that others put on us or that we attach to others.

A more subtle form of this energy draining occurs however, most of the time without our even being aware of it. As we are around family and friends this holiday season I am getting a strong message that we need to be very aware of our thought energy. Specifically the energy of worry. It seems benign, we often view worry as a sign of care. We only really worry about those we love. The more we care the stronger we feel worry. We dismiss the impact that these worry thoughts have and say that we can not help but to worry about those we love. The message is very clear that this type of worry energy has negative impacts on the people we worry about.

Here is how it was broken down for me. Think about the thoughts and images you hold in your mind when you are worried about another person. Are they happy pleasant thoughts and images? Or are they often pictures and thoughts about the worse case scenario? I have to say my experience is that they are almost always in the second category. This idea was related to the concept of manifesting. "As your thoughts so your life shall be". By holding worry thoughts we are attracting and manifesting those fears into reality. Not that we manifest for others- because they could be holding strong beliefs in their own ability to overcome or to be ok, that counter our thoughts. But by holding worry thoughts we are not helping eachother, we are actually creating blocks and hurdles energetically that others then need to overcome through their own belief and or effort.

I have a very good friend who began to notice that early in the morning when his father would meditate he would feel drained and begin to lose faith in himself. He would also notice it during his fathers lunch break from work. Intuitively he was told that as his father meditates or when he is eating lunch his thoughts often drift to worrying about my friend. This friend has many personal struggles that outsiders could see as insurmountable. His father means no harm. He can not help but to worry- to wonder if all of his dreams for his son will come to fruition. To worry about the well being of my friend and if he will be ok. The problem is the very well intentioned energy that leads him to those worry thoughts is another obstacle my friend has to fight to overcome. He can actually feel the worry thoughts. He will feel a strong drain on his energy, on his ability to believe in his own future and then his father will call to check on him. My friend is fighting hard and this worry depletes the much needed energy he is trying to muster to foster his own belief in his ability to overcome his struggles.

So then what can we do? I am a parent. I can relate to my friend's father. I have worried about my kids. I have worried about my friends, my parents, strangers on the street. What I was shown this month was that we need to work on shifting that worry energy into something different. We can hold images of the worst case scenario, hold thoughts of "what if things don't work out". Or we can shift those thoughts into belief and hope. We can see the people we love struggle, we can see them seem to harm themselves with their actions and we have a choice. We can believe what we see is the truth- we can believe in the lack, the inadequacy and imperfection or we can choose to see the deep inner truth of those we love. We can choose to hold a belief in the inner potential to overcome even the most arduous obstacles.

Take a minute right now to think about someone you have held worry for. Tap into that worry for just a minute and feel the feelings associated with those thoughts. It feels full of fear and may feel heavy. Now shift your focus into a belief in that person's inner potential. The belief in the fact they have divinity within them, unlimited resources and strength despite all the physical evidence that says they are not doing well. Shift into the belief that they will be ok and that infact they will thrive. After a minute, once you are really in that place of belief, then notice what it feels like. I have noticed I can almost smile, I feel lightness well up inside me and I feel reassured. Well- the person you are thinking about feels the same thing right now because of your positive thoughts. Which way of thinking do you think benefits them more?

I know for me that I am hoping the people who love me are not worried about me. I hope that they are holding a belief in me and in the possibilities for my future. I hope that they are boosting me with their thoughts and believing in my ability to overcome the obstacles in my life. I have practiced this the past three weeks and intend to hold this lesson for life. When I notice that I am worried I gently shift that fear based thought into a strong belief in all of our inner strength, to the divinity within each of us. I choose hope and belief over worry and doubt.

Please keep this in mind as you encounter family and friends this holiday season. Those struggling with health issues, those struggling with finances, with relationships issues, with mental health. Whatever the struggle, however bad it may appear, please be mindful of your worry and choose to transform it into the belief and hope that will help boost those around you. I will forever be doing the same.

With Love and Truth

Eve

web evetoomey.com

email innerguidance@evetoomey.com

Energy Guide November 2nd 2009

Topic groupings/humility

It has become apparent lately that people seem to be separating into various groups of experiences. Some people as always remain blissfully ignorant- you have to envy those folks, it would be easier.
Other people have been led to retreat and seek inner quiet- unsure of what is coming next but knowing that whatever it is is very big. Some have retreated with a sense that they need to conquer their issues alone. They feel a need to fight a solitary battle right now- healing themselves, facing their own demons without outside influence.
Others have begun to seek connection to others, feeling the pull that the time has come for them to work with others in a shared way towards a common goal and for each individuals evolution. Getting a strong sense that their growth is dependent on this interconnection and exchange. Being led to open up completely to others around them.
None of these ways of being is better or worse than the others. They are just states of being. We talk about evolution and ascension as if there is a linear process. Science has proved that our linear process is a construct of the human mind. There is not first or last, better or worse, no one is ahead of behind. These are all properties we assign to various states of being in an arbitrary way based on what we believe to be "right". "Of course everyone knows my way is the one that is the best". We all believe we are the ones who are ahead and others have been left behind. Its in our DNA and its part of our training as humans to feel this on a deep level. We feel bad for eachother because we are trying to get everyone to join us in our way. "If they don't join us they will be left behind."
The truth is we are all perfectly where we need to be. We are playing our roles perfectly. Those who do not seek to feel and understand the grander meanings of life have their role. By playing their role they help us all. They provide the resistance that keeps the rest of us striving for something better- pushing for more and trying to find the proof that there is more to life than what we see with our physical eyes. Let me be the first to thank those of you for playing your part (although of the three groups this is the one that probably would not even care to read this). You are not behind you are doing exactly what you are needed to do.
Those who are retreating with the strong urge to hide out for a while are doing what they need to do. The sense I get for this group is that they are resting, gathering strength through quiet. At some point they will be called forward to take on a different role that assists in the evolution of humanity. So do not feel bad about the urge you have to pull back right now, even as you see so much changing and happening. Allow yourself to retreat and gather your strength. Your lack of motivation to accomplish does not mean you are missing the boat- you are playing your part beautifully. I thank you for the grand role you will be playing in the very near future.
For those who are retreating with the strong urge for self healing, to conquer your demons alone. Those having the strong urge to do things without help. You are gathering inner strength right now through your experiences. That inner strength will eventually be added to the larger groups. That energy will be needed in the future as things begin to shift and people start losing steam. You will be ready to reach out and connect to others just when you are needed. The people I have seen in this group are difficult because they were part of the group that was joining together and then some of them just suddenly broke off. Leaving those left in the connected groups feeling like they lost their loved ones. I have a sense they are not "lost", however. They are exactly where they are supposed to be, gearing up for their roles. I want to thank you for the boost you are going to give to us, I want to thank you for taking the time to gather your inner
strength for the rest of us. In struggling alone you are gaining a much needed piece to the overall evolution of humanity. You have not fallen behind you are where you are supposed to be. Those in the connected group need to trust that their "lost" friends will one day be reunited.
Finally, the group of people that are feeling the urge to open up and connect. Who feel the need to combine energy together to create something bigger than themselves. You are the trail blazers. You are setting up sharing communities that are key for the evolution of humans. You are no better than any of the other groups. This is your role and it is important to get these communities started however, be aware of your ego and be ready to let the other groups play their part when its time.
There may be other roles, other groups with different roles that I did not account for here. What matters is not an description of each grouping but an understanding of the equality of each of these groups and the equality of the roles they are and will be playing. With out each of these pieces things would not unfold in perfect order.
In the past when this has set up it can be easy for one of the groups involved to place their role on a superior level. They refuse to allow for the next phase to do their part. This slows down the process. Its like trying to turn a wheel while someone is holding on to it tightly.
The message this week is to just be aware of our human minds and their need to order and rank things. Be aware that although the people around us may not be in the same place we are, it does not mean they are ahead or behind. Its a lesson in humility. The consequences are a delay in timing, possibly having to back up and/or start again. Its always only a "time delay" because nothing can stop humanity from evolving.
So this week we are being asked to catch ourselves when we are judging others for their experiences. Things are rarely what they seem to us from our physical eyes. Perception is relative and can not be relied upon. Intuition leads to the bigger picture where we can see the need for every role and every situation. Even the ones we do not agree with.
Things do not look to be settling down any time soon. Change is rapid and it is a very confusing time. We need to guard against trying to make sense of it in the usual way. We need to appreciate those around us and try to not force and change others, trying to get them to do things our way.

With the highest regard and appreciation for all of you in whatever role you may be playing. We do this together each with appreciation for our varying roles, not by believing our way is the only way. Lets do our parts and then be prepared to let go so that others may do theirs.

With Love and Truth
Eve

Web: www.evetoomey.com
email: innerguidance@evetoomey.com

Energy guide 10/26

Topic: Anger and Revenge

This energy guide is related to the last one about boundaries. As we have been redefining our boundaries this month, some of us have experienced ruptures in our relationships. Some of these ruptures may have occurred a while ago but the effects on us are still present. The end of October is about addressing those residual feelings that are impacting us.

I have noticed that there seems to be an influx of negative energy. People around me including myself are feeling angry, hurt, some are seeking revenge (actually or just in their minds). There is this urge to stay stuck in the thick of things. To continue to indulge in our negative thoughts. Whether those thoughts are about the hurt and the details of what someone else, or a group of others did to us that led to our feeling hurt or angry. Thoughts about self pity for having been involved in a situation that went bad. Or if the thoughts are about revenge and anger itself. If we are stuck with that seething pain burning in us so that its all we can think about. For some of us it may be that we are mad at God or the Universe for recent events and losses. Some of us may even be holding on to anger at ourselves for making the choices that led to our pain.

The message this week is that its time to take a deep breathe and step back. There are important lessons and opportunities in whatever we just experienced. When we are in the middle of it and surrounded by the raw emotion we can only see from our limited view. From this limited view point there is always a "winner " or "loser", a " right" point of view or a "wrong" point of view. We only see things through our lens and only get the skewed picture our mind wants us to see. We say things to our selves like " I did everything and this is how the other person treats me", or we think " I obviously cared more" or " I can not believe some one would do this to me" or " What did I do for God to punish me like this?". Or " Why am I so stupid, why did I make that choice?". If you have noticed yourself having these kind of thoughts (like I have) the past few weeks, its time to take that step back.

However we calm ourselves in a healthy way, whether its through yoga, meditation, walks in nature, cleaning, going out dancing, watching a movie, listen to music etc. It is important to take time to step away from the negative feelings and get ourselves into a more positive frame of mind. The world will not fall and no one will "get away with anything" if we let go of those feelings. In fact we free ourselves to let the new come in by letting go. The longer we hang on to resentment, anger, hurt the longer we keep ourselves from moving forward. It is important to experiences those feelings. I am by no means advocating stuffing and ignoring "bad" feelings. What the message is about is letting go when we notice we seem to be clinging to those feelings, when we are not letting ourselves move on.

Once we are in a positive frame of mind I am being shown that it is important to try to get our minds to widen our narrow view of our worlds. It is important to try to take in the whole story in a nonjudgmental way. To see that in every situation there is an interaction between ourselves and those around us. We are all functioning from a place where we are trying to do our best. Every move we make is justified in our own minds. Once we can begin to believe this about the people around us it makes it easier to forgive the things they may do that hurt us. We can see the pure motives behind the actions whether those motives are fear, hurt, anger, excitement, believing its the right thing etc. We all function the same at the core. We all beleive our actions are best in the moment. Sometimes we just function from a damaged place and do things that inadvertently or purposely ( in the case of revenge) hurt the people we care about. Sometimes we hurt people due to a higher purpose- such as setting them free to live their own path and their own truth or to free us to live ours. This is rarely ever understood in the moment. When we are set free or set others free there is often pain in the moment. With time everyone involved sees the reason and knows it was the right thing and that they are now better off. This is how it is with the Universe as well. What may seem cruel or like a punishment is generally an new opportunity taking shape. First something of the past must be let go of however.

For the next few weeks its time to clean out our emotional closets to let go of pain and anger and look for ways to forgive those we perceived have wronged us. After all, I can say that even though I have hurt people in my life it was never what I set out to do, I would think all of you can say the same. It is time to release those negative feelings and reconnect to the big picture that we are all in this together and that even seemingly hurtful acts are all things that eventually lead us to where we are going. Even when we hurt one another, at a soul level it is being done from love and as a means to continue to push us forward. Feel the feelings, cry, yell, hide do what ever you do to deal with the very real hurt that we all feel. Then once those feeling have been experience get up, dust yourself off and let go of the anger, hurt, resentment, need for revenge. Holding on to those will only serve to put us in shackles. Letting go frees us, and allows us to appreciate the big picture- to gain a glimpse of someone else's perspective. Maybe we can even learn something about ourselves by trying to truly understand what leads people around us or ourselves to do things that lead to our feeling pain. After all that is what we are here for- the chance to experience, learn, and grow.

Here is wishing us all peace of mind as we face these hard situations and hope that we can learn to understand ourselves and those around us on a deeper level so that we can accept and love eachother and finally let go of the pain.

With Love and Truth

Eve

web: evetoomey.com
Email: innerguidance@evetoomey.com
Energy Guide 10/10/09

Topic: Boundaries

I am being surrounded by the topic of boundaries these past few weeks. It appears that October is going to be about defining and redefining boundaries. I am seeing both sides of this issue. I have seen friends and acquaintances that have poor boundaries and are allowing people to energetically attach and drain them. I have seen people like myself who over extend ourselves to our own detriment and do not honor the boundaries around the time and energy we spend on others. Then there are those who's boundaries are so rigid and strong that they do not let other in (I have to admit I am also guilty of this one).

Whatever the case is for each of us as individuals, whether we can relate to one or all the above boundary issues, the month of October promises to challenge those boundaries and force us to look at redefining them in a healthier way. We are being called to reexamine how we relate to one another. To relook at how we seek to get our needs met and meet the needs of others. Anything that is not serving our highest good , old patterns of how we relate to each other are being challenged. The consequences of those old patterns are being magnified.

So I am being asked to take each of the three above boundary issues and talk about how they work, what the function is and suggest possible ways I was shown on how to rethink those boundaries and how to shift them to something that will allow for more optimal functioning.

So lets first look at the issue of others to attach to us energetically. For those who begin into psychic work or healing work we often are amazed at the feeling of being connected to others. We begin to try to feel people all the time. It's fascinating to us. Even those not into healing and psychic work do this with those they love or care deeply for. We are constantly seeking to understand more, we want to feel as close as we can to those we care about. We try to get close through connecting to an others soul. This month the consequence of doing that are going to be more pronounced to show us the pitfalls and problems with attaching to others energy (especially when we are not invited to do so, or when we are doing it for reasons that are not serving our highest good). I have been shown through my own experiences and through the experiences of those around me that this kind of connecting leads to taking on others emotional states and feelings and also can lead to a strong energetic drain. Somewhere we got the idea that we need to draw energy from people and this has led to continual feelings of incompleteness and unending searching.

So what can we do about this? Well we need to break the pattern. Whether the cords and attachments we form with others are from them towards us or from us towards them or any combination inbetween- the bottom line is that those cords need to be broken. We are not meant to attach to eachother's energy- we are meant to have shared experiences and draw energy from the only true source, from the Universe, from God (which ever term you are most comfortable with). I was reminded of a common concept learned in beginning psychic and healing classes. It is extremely important to continually visualize or feel the connections we form consciously or unconsciously to others and to visualize breaking those connections. Those connection can act as drains. I was reminded this month of how we are to be connected through Universal energy/God energy not through these energetic cords.

As we break those connections it is important to do so with love, not with anger or resentment. Not wondering "why is this person attaching to me" but rather to merely recognize the feeling of an attachment (a feeling akin to something pulling or emptying energy from us or something pulling our thoughts towards a person or situation). It is important to notice those places our energy is being drawn from and to disconnect those connections with love. Then allow God/ the 'universe to send love to healing you and the person or situation that was attached to you. All of this done while holding thoughts of love and compassion. Once connections are cut and healing/love is sent out it is essential to clear ourselves. To ask God/ the Universe to clear your mind, body, and soul- to feel love permeating through your body clearing away any negative energy. I am being reminded of the importance of doing this in the morning (as many times our souls reach out at night and can try to form these connections), it should also be done any time you notice a severe mood change, ruminating thoughts about a person or situation, or when you feel a draining feeling on your energy, and finally just before bed. This has always been important to do, however most of us do not see the need to do it regularly- we simply forget. The month of October is going to make the symptoms of not doing this disconnecting and clearing more pronounces so that we can see and understand the importance more fully.

In the area of over extending ourselves the message is to begin practicing saying "no". October is going to intensify the impact of not drawing boundaries around the energy we expend in physical activities. We will find this month that in trying to do everything for everyone we are feeling exhausted and completely depleted more often than we are used to. The energy of this month is sending a strong message for those of us who have a habit of overextending that doing this has a negative impact on our overall well being. Limit setting is going to become a must this month as we will find we simply can not handle the effects of expending all of our energy on others. Not only that but our effort to reach out and help in ways beyond what we should will not be received. In fact we will be resented for overextending and involving ourselves where we should not be involved.

The importance of taking time for ourselves to reconnect with the divinity inside of us is essential. It is not just a good idea but will become essential this month. Most of us can not live permanently in a state of out flowing energy. At some point it is key to disconnect from the outflow of love to others temporarily and to just be connected to Source. Even Jesus had to do this. As he was healing others and spreading his message he periodically was noted to have taken breaks to meditate and reconnect to the Father. This can be done by quiet meditation, by getting into nature, or by doing anything that brings joy and helps us to feel as though we are being filled with love. Doing this allows us to give more to others eventually as well as to know appropriate times and ways to give for the highest good of others. The importance of setting boundaries around how much we can do and allowing some "me time" is key. October will increase the exhaustion and possible resentment feelings if we do not set these boundaries and take time for ourselves.

Finally in the area of boundaries that are too rigid so that no one is allowed in. Again the effects of doing this will be intensified this month. The feeling of isolation and that nobody "gets" us will be prominent if this is the issue we are struggling with. As we continue to present only a facade of perfection and strength we will further send a message to others around us that they are not needed. We will increase our own isolation.

The message around this is to begin to take risks. We need to find one person we can let in- someone we can let see at least one imperfection, one insecurity and let that person know that softer/vulnerable side of ourselves. It could even mean realizing we are not an island and asking or reaching out for help from others. This is hard because often people who have rigid boundaries have them due to fears based on past rejection (real or imagined). The fear that we will again be rejected is strong and it feels like a huge risk to let even one person know our vulnerabilities. This month the consequence of not doing so will be made very apparent. This is happening so we can see that the risk of being rejected or hurt is far less than what it is we lose by not letting others in, by not letting others see who we really are with our greatness and our faults.

October is a positive month but it's a time to get honest about our patterns of relating to others. Its time to realize the true Source of our inner strength and to begin to draw that strength from the proper places. Its time to be real in who we are with others. In doing so we will realize the joy of right connection and balanced sharing among eachother.

With Love and Truth

Eve

Web evetoomey.com

email:innerguidance@evetoomey.com

Sept 14 2009

Topic: unexpected answers

I have been trying to write this for a week now. I kept hearing the same story told in different versions over and over a again. I knew this must be the topic was for this week. I could not seem to get to my computer to write about it however. As the week continued, the repeated story turned into friends and acquaintances coming to me saying different versions of the same thing..." I just realized that _____ was the answer to what I have been manifesting, I did not even realize it because I was not expecting it to be that way, or look that way"

Lets begin with the story that I kept hearing earlier last week. It pertains to just that reaction. The story relates to getting our prayers answered, getting what we have manifested but having it come in a way, in a form, that we are not expecting. The most simple version of the story goes like this. There was a man who was out in the ocean and his boat sank. As he was treading water he prayed to God and asked God to save him. A short while later a boat came by and saw him and said "get in our boat". The man replied " No thanks God is going to save me". The boat left. A short while later another boat came by and said " thank goodness we found you, get in the boat". The man replied " Nope, God is going to save me". That boat sailed off. The man was getting very tired and wondering when God would save him. A third boat appeared and the men on the boat said " you look exhausted please get in our boat and we will take you to safety". The man replied " No, I can't God is going to save me any minute now". The boat left, baffled that the man would not let them take him to safety. Soon after the man drown. Upon reaching heaven and meeting God the man said " God, why didn't you answer my prayers?" God replied " But I did, I sent you three boats, why did you not accept my answers to your prayer?"

This story has many versions that I have heard over the past week. Sometimes its a man in a desert, sometimes its a man in a flood on a roof top. The point is always the same. We ask for God's help in our lives, we try to manifest the things we need, calling on divine grace and all too often we pass over the answer to those prayers. We manifest and pray and let ourselves get stuck in our own ideas of how the answers will look. We do this to such an extent that often times we miss the divine grace and answers to our prayers that the Universe/God sends us.

Like the drowning man we may have this grand vision that the hand of God will magically lift us out of the water, when more often God will answer by sending divinely inspired people and situations. We may expect the answers to our prayers and manifestations to be magical, when in actuality they will blend into our everyday experiences.

The trick to truly manifesting, to truly receiving the answers to our prayers is to recognize the magic and the answers that exist all around us everyday. If you are looking for love- well love is all around you, it may not meet your expectation of the kind of love you want to receive. You want more money, well abundance is all around you, it may not take the form of dollars. The answers to our prayers may just be life boats or well intentioned strangers, when we wanted the magical hand of God, but these things all around us everyday ARE answers to our prayers. By seeing that initial answer we then open ourselves up to knowing the miracles of God, of the Universe. By accepting the love that exists around us we open up to even greater love, we open up to the love we desire. We have to accept and start by recognizing the miracles all ready present around us. By accepting abundance in all of its forms we then open up to greater abundance and to getting all the forms of abundance that exists around us already. Even when the answers do not look the way we wanted them to, if we are open to them they ultimately give us what we need.

September is still challenging us. We are still finding out what it is we really wanted. Beginning last week the energy was challenging us in how we are willing to receive our manifestations. This energy is continuing into this week. We brought in many wonderful things this summer. We also called in some challenges by manifesting that only what is true to ourselves remain. Many of us have experiences a great clearing out as this manifestation unfolds. We have asked for this clearing in order to make space for something greater to come into our lives. We may not like the form the answer to our prayers is taking and we may feel like God is not hearing us but be assured God always hears and always sets into motion what is in our ultimate best interest. When we get out of the way and stop struggling, then we create the space for the magic to happen. This current energy is about having faith and trust in the grand plan. Having faith that all the things we see around us are the answers to our prayers, even though they may not look like we wanted them to.

We have a choice. We can either be like the drowning man and hold tight to our vision of how are prayers are going to be answered, what our manifestations must look like and risk drowning due to not seeing the many ways God provides what we need. Or we can be open to the miracles and have faith that at every moment, even when it looks like we might be going backwards our prayers are indeed being answered. Our manifestations are taking shape. We can get in the first boat and allow the Universe and God to do its job in its own unique way. When we can truly give up control and trust in a divine plan, when we can know we are cared for then life will flow and the magic will be unending.

Spend some time just noticing the many unexpected ways that God/ The Universe listens to you and sends you what you need. Look for the answers in the places you are not expecting to find them and you will see how absolutely surrounded by continual support you are.

With Love and Truth

Eve

email: inneguidance@evetoomey.com

Energy Guide 8/27/09

  Topic: Finding ourselves

Whew! It has been an intense time as of late. Things are changing so rapidly it feels as though we are on sailing on a turbulent ocean in a rutterless boat. That mental image keeps popping into my mind throughout this week. It's a scary and exhilarating feeling. One that I hope will not last too much longer.

So what in the world is going on? Everyone around me is asking the same question. I find myself asking God the same thing several times a day. Well, I actually received the answer way back in January when I tried to see what this year would bring. We spent this summer manifesting the heck out of everything in our lives. Those of us who managed to get into the energy of manifesting brought all kinds of creations into our lives. Some were huge and others were small. We were so into the excitement and energy of creating that we just kept doing it. We created an overabundance of things and situations in our lives. We were manifesting machines. This was an important time to show us what we are capable of. Now we need to examine the shadow side of all of that manifesting. There is a lesson for us to learn about our creations. September is about that lesson.

The energy has already shifted and yet its only the beginning. I have to say that knowledge does not bring me comfort. This past week has been difficult. I have watched as what I have manifested in my life changed and become something other then what I imagined it to be. I struggled with the changes and tried to will my creation back to its original form. The truth is that our creations are made of the same things we are. They begin to take on life of their own and they shift as we shift and grow. God made us and he crated us with an idea in mind. God loved us enough to allow us to change and grow. Allowing us to move away from his original plan for us. He believed we would come back and continues in that belief. This week has put me in touch with the heartbreak God must feel as he watches his creations stray from his original intentions for them. But that is what creating is about. Its bringing something into the world to express ourselves and then allow those expression to take on a life of their own and teach us something deeper about ourselves. Through us God continues to know deeper and deeper parts of him/herself. It is the same for our own creations. They will morph and change and we can either try to resist that change and cling to our ideas. We can try to force our creations, our manifestations to only be what we wanted them to be. Or we can release control and allow ourselves to learn more about who we really our from what our creations reflect in their changing forms.

The purpose of the energy of September is to test what we have created, what we have manifested in our lives. We did so much manifesting it is time for those manifestations to begin to reveal truth to us. As things shift and fall and change we need to decide what it all means. We can view it as loss, come to a place where fear shuts us down and leaves us repeating the same old patterns. We can go to a place of feeling sorry for ourselves because what we manifested did not work the way we wanted it to. Or we can choose to go to the place of love and truth. We can view the shifts and the falling away of various things in our lives as opportunities to get to know ourselves more deeply. Every loss reveals something about our own nature. Something we need to know in order to continue to grow and evolve, to reach higher heights. When things fall away we have nothing left but ourselves. We can focus on everything that has been lost. We can focus on how our plans and our manifestations fell short. We can focus on the negative and how the fact that things did not turn out the way we intended must mean that we are flawed and unworthy. Or we can choose to use this time to realize that in the end the most important thing is our relationship to the self and The Self (our higher divine self).

In times where things fall apart and we begin to feel alone we have a choice between feeling lonely or feeling whole in and of ourselves. To choose the second requires a deep knowledge of the presence of the divine within each of us. Even when it seems we are alone, if we turn in and seek within ourselves we can see that God and therefore all of humanity, all the living world is continually connected to us. This month of September is about weeding out and finding what we really mean to call into our lives by challenging the things we have drawn to ourselves. Those things that remain are what we really need. Those things that fall aside need to be allowed to do so. They may return in their own time and they may not. This month is about trust in the divine. Beyond the physical however the month of September has a more significant role. The falling away forces us to go within and find where our true source of strength lies. Where it is we truly get our nourishment and needs met from. This month is about discovering our true selves. It's about reuniting with our divine Self and finding strength and reassurance in that place. When we bring our everyday self in line with our divine Self we begin to feel the flow of life again.

This message is hopeful for those of us who feel like we were floating in the river of life going with the flow when all of a sudden we encountered class 5 rapids. After being tossed about for the past few weeks we landed on shore and wondered what just happened. Well, the message is that we began to get complacent and we forgot why it is we were floating to begin with. We do not get to sit back and wait for some destination. We are being shook up so that we wake up and notice the journey. We are being woken up so that we continue to learn about ourselves as we continue down the river. That is the point, to know and love ourselves so that we then become love incarnate. To become love you need to feel love within. The rapids have just woken us up so that we can now make a conscious decision to get back into the flow with consciousness of purpose. No more pity parties, only opportunities for growth and for learning how to love ourselves, how to connect with the divine inside us.

I have a practice that I have gotten out of the past few months. I used to take several minutes 2 to 3 times per day to try to connect to God , to feel the presence of God within me. I should close my eyes and ask God to fill me with love, to let me know the divine love within me. I would sit until I felt a swell of emotion rise within me and fill me to the point it felt this love was spilling out. Then this summer as things were manifesting so easily it was easy to let my practice slide. I was receiving nurturing form outside myself and was seduced into surrendering to that instead of nurturing the love from within me. The things outside ourselves are illusion, they are temporary. September's lesson is to remember our true source of nourishment and to lead us back to the divine within.

Take this time to reconnect with your self and Your Self. When you can do that the rest of life takes care of itself in a magical way.

Until next time

With Love and Truth

Eve

web:evetoomey.com

Email: innerguidance@evetoomey.com

class="MsoNormal"> It has been a while since I have written, which always means that there have been major shifts in my own life. These past few weeks have been particularly difficult. I have made some decisions to follow my heart and soul. Decisions that were not easy and that involved pain. Not only pain for myself but for many others around me. Decisions that have lead to events that I could have never predicted. Events that have my entire life turned upside down. Events that have made me feel like I have no floor under my feet to support me. That being said, I would have not made any other decisions than what I did. It was a decision made from the depth of who I am and it was made with the growth of my soul as its impetus. I knew it would not be easy but had no idea how much would change as a result of my actions. All of this has left me reeling, wondering why I was lead down this road, but never questioning my choices. I have felt supported by God even when no one else seems to understand. I have surrendered control and no longer have to do what is logical but, instead am following something else. I am following a divine guidance that reassures me, in my darkest hours of doubt, that indeed everything will be ok. In fact as my old life crumbles I have an ongoing promise that whatever takes form, whatever rises from these ashes will be even better than I could imagine. Whatever comes in will be true to who I am and the days of pretending and facades will be done.

As I have been struggling with the major transformations in my life I have been rereading old books and little tidbits I have written through the years. I was led back to one of the places that restarted me on my journey towards spirituality. When I began craving something more years ago I started by studying and learning as much as I could about the old Jewish mysticism Kabala. It was a good starting point and I appreciate everything I learned in my studies. The information leads me to continue my search and turn that search inside and towards my own individual relationship with God. Within the teaching of Kabala there is a story that relates to the topic of this guide. It is originally a story about the creation of the universe, but as I recently reread it the application to the ongoing process of creation struck me.

The creation story is about The Light and the vessel. The story goes that in the beginning before space and time the only thing that existed was the Light (God/Creator). It was not like the light we see from a bulb or candle but an ever present energy that was everywhere and everything. The nature of this light was that of perpetual giving. This light existed solitary until one day it decided to create its opposite. It wanted to create something to receive. Upon the idea the vessel was immediately in form. For millions of years the Light and the vessel existed together. The light perpetually giving of itself and the vessel only receiving. Then one day the vessel decided that it wanted to be able to give as well. The vessel withdrew itself from the Light in order to find its own giving nature. The minute the Light was no longer hitting the vessel, the vessel was immediately overwhelmed with desire to get the Light back. The vessel rushed back into the Light. In doing so however the vessel received the Light back all at once. That much Light at once was more than the vessel’s structure could handle. When the Light hit the vessel it instantaneously burst into billions of pieces that scattered across the universe. These pieces according to Kabalistic tradition are the building blocks of our world and ourselves. They are what make up all matter. In essence the Big Bang.

The story was always interesting to me as a metaphor for creation, for the initial start up of everything in the universe. Until my recent experiences I had never saw its application to general day to day life. I could never see how it could apply to the ongoing process of creation, that we are all involved in every day. My vessel just shattered, just like the vessels of millions of people before me. Just like you have all at one time or another had your own vessels shattered (and if not I am certain you will at some point if you are moving forward and creating in your life). If we are seeking to change our nature and align it with that of the Creator and seek to become beings of giving, then it is part of the process to have our vessel’s shattered.

It occurred to me that I have watched countless people as their own vessels shattered and that the reaction to this explosion is generally the same. We try to catch all the pieces and glue the vessel back together. We get upset at the loss of the vessel and obsess about what used to be. But in the original example of the creation process, in the creation of our universe this was not the reaction. The Light did not try to gather up the pieces of the vessel. It did not even create a replica to replace what had burst into endless pieces. The Light allowed something new to form. The Light let the inertia of the explosion continue in its own manner forming what it would. Trusting that an even more perfect form would take shape to receive the Light’s perpetual giving.

The message was clear. These explosions, these bursting vessels in our lives are opportunity. We view them as bad, we call it tragedy. If we were there to witness the bursting of the first vessel we would say “what a horrible thing, what is going to happen now that there is no vessel to receive, all is lost”. We would cry and wish for the vessel’s return, being completely unaware that in hoping for the old to return, in clinging to the old we would be preventing our universe from its creation. It is the same in the mini bursting vessels of our lives. There is pain as the vessels break. There is loss and mourning but, as the pieces scatter to the wind they float on the opportunity for something new and even more grand to be created. Within every tragedy lie the seeds of a new beginning, a new creation.

We can resist the process. We can try to tape together, pick up the pieces and glue them together frantically as our vessels break. However, in doing this we stay stuck, unable to move forward. We also increase our own misery by prolonging our suffering, by not letting go. There is another option, we can choose to act as the Light did and surrender to the process, to see what will come to form if we trust in God’s love and plan. Trust as the Light trusted, that creation has its own way of working things out. In doing this we find that perhaps there is a place of peace within the raging storms that blow into our lives.

As I continue to stand in the middle of my own storm, with my vessel in a billion pieces I am choosing the path of surrender and trust. It feels as if the world is looking at me like I must be out of my mind, but all I know and feel is my truth and I hold firm to that.

Generally these messages are global and I am hoping they apply to many people. This one I hope does not. But I know that at one point or another every one of you reading this will be able to relate. I hope you will save this and look back on it when your vessel breaks and you are feeling the loss. The “tragedy” of the broken vessel is a part of a beautiful process we call creation. I hope that knowledge can give you the peace it has given me.

With Love and Truth

Eve

Email: innerguidance@evetoomey.com

Web: evetoomey.com

July 24th, 2009

Topic: helping eachother

Its been tough to catch up with time as it whizzes past me to sit down and write about what is going on. In truth it all seems to be moving so fast its hard for me to even tune in and make sense of it all before the next phase comes. I think this was so pronounces these last few weeks because it is an important thing to acknowledge right now. In talking with several people this week there is this sense that things are happening rapidly. Time itself seems to have sped up another step (and here we thought it could not possibly get any faster). In considering this idea of time the reason for the apparent speed up was brought to my attention. There is a lot of change happening right now. On personal levels and on a global scale. People are being pushed far out of their comfort zones. I know in my own life and in the lives of many people I know this month has been about being pushed past what we previously thought our limits were.

Many people are experiencing major shifts in their lives. They are taking chances that they previously did not think they would take. People all around me are taking risks, quitting jobs, leaving relationships, enetering into new situations they did not have the courage to enter before. It is a scary and exciting time for all of us. It has us running around like chickens with our heads cut off and yet seeming to get little to nothing accomplished right now. These few weeks have been a continual lesson in how when we force our will and do not allow the divine to flow in our lives that we end up exhausted with nothing to show for all of our hard work. It just feels like with all the risk taking and change that we "should" be doing something.

During a meditation that I was a part of on Monday night I received part of the message on how to deal with all of the chaotic energy this month has brought. It was a message about the importance of depending on eachother. Throughout my own journey I have received messages about varying parts of my path. There have been times where I needed to do some of my own self growth work alone, and other times that I was told that I would be provided help and needed to accept that help willingly. The message I received this week was that during times like these, when the energy ramps up the way it has over these last few weeks, it is extremely important to seek help and support from others. This is a time of rapid change. It is a time where things are shifting so extremely and at such a fast rate that we can feel disoriented, nauseous (almost sea sick), and emotionally drained.

While at a lake recently I sat on a dock and meditated, connecting with the world around me, the peace and calm of it all. My attention was drawn to the water. The way that the water was glass smooth. Occasionally a bug would land on the surface or a fish would jump causing a ripple in the glassy smooth surface of the lake. I watched these ripples echo and stretch out far from their center point. The ripples would then intersect eachother without one stopping or slowing the other. The two ripples would merge into a new pattern, sometimes three or four ripples converged. The thought that accompanied this image was about how the space around us operates the same (even though we can not see it with our eyes). Every action and thought we have causes a ripple that extends out around us. These ripples interact and bounce off people around us, and their ripples bounce off of us. The ripples penetrate through the spaces between our cells and we are unaware of this interplay happening all day long. We see ourselves as individual, as separate without noticing the impact we have on eachother. It is this thought that keeps us from reaching out. Whether we reach out for support from others around us or not, what we experience as individual IS impacting people around us. We can not see it, sometimes we do not feel it but it is there, rippling through the air around us in an ever expanding invisible wave.

We need to lean on people around us and we need to learn to ask for help and support. What we each experience is impacting all of the people around us, they deserve the opportunity to support and help us through our trials. American culture is very individualistic. Its hard for us to ask for help, hard to admit that we can not do it alone. We were never meant to do it alone. That is why our energy ripple out and crosses into eachtoher. It is true we each have our own unique path. We have times that we need to travel parts of that path on our own. Right now it is clear that we are at a point that we need to learn to feel our interconnection with others. We need to see the overlaps of our journeys our thought and actions and seek support from one another. If you are one of those "island people" (People like myself who are an island unto themselves and rarely seek outside support for fear it will come across as weakness)- well, this part will be a challenge. Its clear that from this point moving forward on our paths we are going to require mutual support and collaboration. The old ways do not work anymore. The false fronts where we pretend everything is ok and pretend we have it all under control when our world is shattering around us is now transparent. In the past we could pretend, we could follow the saying "fake it until you make it". This is falling away and what is emerging is a world where our vulnerabilities are showing through and everyone can see them or at the very least sense them. So we can try to rebuild our crumbling facades and pretend that everything is ok or we can admit that we have fears about the changes occurring, fears about what is happening in the world and we can seek comfort and strength from eachother.

Admitting to being afraid is a huge part in over coming fear. To admit and seek help from others is the way to battle fear. Others can reassure us we are not alone. They can help us see a broader vision of the bright future that follows a difficult passage. They can help us face those fears and overcome them. In the end all we are doing is choosing between living from fear or living from love. When we live openly with eachother, when we seek support and seek to support we are living from love. When we hide our faults and cover our fears, seeking to isolate ourselves we are living from fear.

This is a difficult time, it is an exciting time. Our dreams are manifesting, our new lives are taking shape and in doing so they are stirring up our deepest fears. We achieve a level of comfort and think that we have finally made it to whatever destination we thought we were headed to, only to find that there are more fears and places for growth ahead, stretching for endless miles. The journey is tiring and it is endless. To do this journey alone the whole time is hard, it is arduous work. In sharing our journeys and mutually supporting eachother these roads we travel can become joyful. When we laugh and play and help ease eachothers burdens the work we are doing will cease to feel like work at all.

As these changes and shifts continue to occur into August, perhaps even escalating keep in mind your sources for support. Seek people to help you on your journey and seek to help others around you. It is in this mutual support that we will all move further than was possible alone.

With Love and Truth

Eve

email: innerguidance@evetoomey.com

web:evetoomey.com

July 1st 2009

Topic: know thy self

June has been an intense month for many people. We were told the things we have been manifesting would begin to come to us in June. The thing is, we just thought those things would look different. We had different expectations. It seems that even those people who thought that they did not get what they were trying to bring into their lives, just might have missed it, because it did not come in the way they planned it. The people who did recognize their manifestations all had to say it was not like they thought it would be. Some may have made the judgment that perhaps what manifested was not quite as good as they expected. For others what came in was better than anything they could have imagined. I get this feeling that it is truly the second scenario that is true for everyone- we just have not had the time to see how perfect it all is. We have to drop our expectations first.

This dropping our preconceived notions is part of what is now going on. We are again in a process of trying to truly know ourselves, our real selves. This was first illuminated for me in an experience. I had the opportunity to go to the science museum and was drawn into an exhibit that I had never gone into before. It was all about perception. There were various optical illusions, showing how we can not always trust the information our eyes are giving to us. We often feel sure of the information our sense perceive, only to find that the information was wrong when viewed from a different angle or through someone else's perception. We are sure that object is popping out towards us and then the light changes and we find it is really concave, and the light shifts again and we see it is really two dimensional.

There was one example in this exhibit that came with a strong inner message for me. In this display there were a series on dots. Four of them formed a cross and were shaded from the bottom, four were in the spaces outside the cross and they were shaded from the bottom. The dots forming the cross looked like they popped out, while the dots forming the exterior looked like they were sunken in. As the picture of the dots was rotated, making the shading switch from top to bottom and bottom to top, the perception of the dots changed. Now the dots forming the cross sunk in while the outer ones popped out. Nothing had changed, the dots were actually two dimensional, but due to how the perceived light source hit the dots- due to how they were shaded, the information our eyes sent to our brain changed.

The whole exhibit was created around the understanding that we are accustomed to a light source that comes from above, our brains take in information based on that. The thought hit me about this search that many of us are on to find truth. What if that is the trick, what if it merely shifting the light source to something true. As I watched those dots the thought came in that if we set an intention for the light to shine from within- out on to everything around us in the world that we may see things as they truly are, instead of an an optical illusion, based on something outside ourselves. That light is something we call intuition. The use of that true light source is a lost art form. What if by knowing this trick (knowing how to use intuition, use the inner light source) we then get to choose our perception.

As soon as the trick was exposed and I knew the truth, I noticed how my mind could then voluntarily see the dots for their truth. They were flat, and then I could choose to see one set of dots as popped out by my own will and intention, and then shift that to the other set by acknowledging the trick. We have a choice within our lives to apply the same idea. We can choose to see things as fixed and unchangeable, to believe the illusion, or we can choose to see them for their totality, all the possibilities contained within them. We can see the people and situations around us for their changeable nature. We can see all the possibilities and know that nothing is ever as it seems, because it is all changeable. When we expect to see the worst- it is what we will see. Our brains are programmed for it, just like they are programed to assume the light always comes from above.

This June the light source has shifted. We are not able to hide behind illusions. The trick was exposed as the light source switched leaving us feeling like we are not sure how to perceive things. We are not able to hide behind our created selves. Many of us are finding we no longer want to hide. Some of us are finding it impossible to hide even if we wanted to. The dots of our lives are being exposed as the light shifts around us. This summer is not only about manifesting our desires but also about manifesting our truest selves, in all areas of our lives.

June brought in the "new" for many, not always a pleasant thing at first. Many people were surprised at the form these "new" changes and manifestations came in. These surprising forms challenged our perceptions. We were not sure if they were "good" or "bad". In the end all things lead to a single purpose and they are all rooted in good. As I noticed the changes and manifestations coming into my life I began to notice a pattern. I had a conversation with a friend and then another, and another and I found the same topic coming up in relation to "how things are happening but not in the way or the form we expected them to". I have begun noticing that there seems to be " mile markers" of a sort that we can ask for to let us know that indeed we are on the right track. Its confusing to have things manifest in unexpected ways. It leads us to feel like maybe there has been a mistake. These signs help to reassure us and they are available to us if we choose to acknowledge them. Its always easy to dismiss these signs as coincidence.

These "mile markers" are obvious signs hidden in things around us. Hidden in the phrases people say, hidden in seeing specific unusual things, hidden in the way an event unfolds. The fun part is that you can know these signals ahead of time. By tuning into yourself into the inner light source of your intuition, by connecting with the divine, you can ask for certain markers to be shown to you along the way. There are some people who may ask to see an unusual car that is rare to see, some people may ask for a specific person to say a phrase or to see an object like a specific piece of clothing. If you ask for these signs and open up to them you will know them. This is the same as the experience of thinking of a song and its suddenly played. We all have these experiences. I was shown that these synchronicities have a purpose. I was told to notice my thoughts, feelings, and what I am doing when these experiences happen. They are clues that will guide us. They are the magic of divine guidance, divine reassurance that what is happening is for our highest good.

Recognizing this is going to be important in the coming months. As more of the new takes shape in July, there will be a need for some of the old to drop away. During this month more of the details of the new will emerge. We will be confronted with what needs to go, what needs to fall away and then we will be given clearer ideas of what exactly is coming in- even if it does not fully form this month. The process can be slow, and gradual which is important because we tend to cling to the old. It is important to remember that what comes in is always greater than what is falling away. It can not be rushed, we are emerging into a truer version of ourselves and there is a process to it all.

The new energy began arriving in June and these next few months are about that slow process of it all taking shape. Its about loss and rebirth. Its about the phoenix rising from the ashes. In the end a beautiful thing, a true version of ourselves, but these next few months are full of growing pains. To help us we get to rely on those mile markers to tell us, indeed we are headed in the right direction. We also have a sense that we are headed towards something great, we will get glimpses of this greatness mixed in with the pains that accompany our growth.

Many of us can expect the new to be more solidly in place in our lives in late August, early September. At this time we have our choice. We choose how to perceive what has taken place. We can see the changes as opportunity, a chance to embrace a more real version of ourselves. We can choose to shift that light source so that everything is illuminated from within us (with all the scary risks this entails). Or we can cling to the old, believing that what our eyes perceive around us is the only truth. In the end either way we choose the underlying truth remains and everything that is not of truth will naturally fall away. In the end the trick is exposed. Our choice is in how we embrace the changes, in how willing we are to embrace ourselves and take the risks needed to accept ourselves. Knowing our true selves is a key in making this choice, in taking the straightest path towards a bigger truth, towards bliss. But, know that no one can fail, the river just may meander a bit more. The choice is always ours

With Love and Truth

Eve

email: innerguidance@evetoomey.com

June 17th,, 2009

Topic: Ego vs God

I have been doing a bit of reading on this topic lately. Its abstract and hard to grasp and sometimes frankly over complicated. As I was thinking about this battle that we all have raging inside ourselves. This battle between sense pleasure, pleasures from exterior sources and the inate divine inside us, I received a very clear picture.

The ego was likened to the Wizard of Oz. This force that seems big and scary. This force that has us shaking in our boots afraid to confront it. We feel powerless against it. Some of us react like Dorothy and challenge that scary force with a shaky voice, not sure we have the strength to fight the Powerful Oz/ ego. Some of us react like the lion and turn and run as fast as we can, willing to do what the ego tells us even though we know we will not get what we came here for.

In the end we find out that just behind the curtain, just behind the veil is a little man, who is pushing buttons and running computerized effects. An ordinary man with no special powers to give us what we came for. The big powerful Oz/ego was never anything to be afraid of. All the horrible things we thought would happen if we challenged that force were never a threat. It was always just a man trying to scare us from the truth.

And what is that truth you may ask? The truth is exactly what Dorothy, the lion, the tin man , and the scarecrow learned. They were the only ones who ever possessed the power to give themselves what they were desiring. It was within them. Each of them always had what they went to Oz to receive. They could not see it. They thought something outside of themselves had to fulfill their dreams. Never once realizing that they were the only ones who could ever fulfill their own dreams.

It was important that they did two things. One was that they had the journey, that they went though the process of seeking outside of themselves inorder to learn that they were connected with the Source of their dream fulfillment. No one could have told them this before they had experienced the path themselves. They would not have gathered the evidence needed to prove it to themselves.

The second important part was in the mutual support and sharing they gave to eachother. Each was able to inspire the others. Each was able to see the greatness in the others. Each helped the others face their fears head on. They held the lions hand and kept him from running. They stood up for eachtoher when other forces were trying to hurt one of them. They dug down deep not only for themselves but for eachother and that process of sharing and growing together led them to realize the truth of their power and inner strength. None of them would ever doubt their greatness and connection to the inner divine again. The world was now open to them, they could have whatever they dreamed of. They knew those dreams were fulfilled through the divinity with in them.

It would have been easy for Dorothy and the rest to listen to Oz, to listen to the ego, to turn away from Oz and believe they would never get what they had desired. i mean he told them to go away. He challenged them with what he thought was an impossible feat They could have settled for something less. Maybe Dorothy would have said " Oh well, I will just make a new home" Maybe she would have even been tempted with a nice fancy place outside of the gates of Oz. But it was not HER home, and it was not HER desire. The ego will try to scare us, the ego will try to pull our attention away from the truth . The ego is always fleeting pleasures: sex (purely physcial sex), chemicals, gambling, fast easy highs that never last and leave us wanting more. We get our fix of what the ego leads us to and find that we just are left with more wanting. Ego based pleasures are limited and can be used up. We settle for less that the truth and it feels empty. It should feel empty because that is what it is. The things for and from our ego are made of nothing, they are shells.

Soul pleasures, pleasures from a divine source are lasting. They are the things that can not be touched, they lie just behind the illusion of the world. Soul pleasures are enduring and infinate. They are ever full and can not be used up. They are of limitless supply and meant to be shared with others. There is no greed when we obtain divine pleasures because there is always enough.

The choice in the end is ours. We have to travel our roads like Dorothy, the lion, the tin man and the scarecrow. We have to have our experiences to uncover our greatness. We have to be frightened by the ego, we have to be tempted with our ego based desires. In the end there remains only one truth. We are destined to seek and receive the divine pleasures. The only variable is the time it takes to allow ourselves to know and receive these things. The decisions are ours, every step of the way.

The message this week is to observe our experiences. When we are faced with a choice, with a desire we need to ask ourselves the origin of that desire. If it abides, if it comes from our souls than we need to be sure of our own will, be strong enough to face our fears and inadequacies and to take the risks. If it comes from a physical desire, from a desire for the material than we again need to turn to that innate strength to push past the urge. Know that there is something more waiting that is infinitely more worth your effort. Know that we always contain everything we need, it can be seen in our experiences and in our connections to others.

Here is to unmasking that little man who is inside us trying to scare us from the truth.

With love and truth

Eve

email: innerguidance@evetoomey.com

June 7th 2009

Topic: A new look at our "paths"

I entered June thinking that things would go smoothly. Like somehow the manifesting that would occur could only be positive. It would be like winning the lottery. I would travel effortlessly down my "path" for a period of time. I was looking forward to the rest. Much to my dismay this has not been my experience. This weeks message may not apply to everyone. Let me be the first to say, if you are one who has surrendered completely and have been able to follow your intuition, to align your will with the will of God, being open to whatever experiences come your way regardless of how they fit into any perceived plan in your head, then I suspect you will not be able to relate to this weeks message. You apparently have already understood what is contained in this message. For those of us still trying to control, to fight against our intuition, to steer ourselves onto a certain trajectory that we are clinging to, this message is really important. It is time for us to take notice of the results of our actions so that we can consider another way.

When I asked why things are not going the way I want them to. Why things are not flowing and helping me stay on this path that I have perceived in my head, I received an answer that rang so true in my soul. As I expanded out from myself, as usual I saw that this answer seems to ring true for the people around me as well. I was told that I am perceiving life as difficult right now because I am not being truthful to myself about what it is I am here to do. I am sustaining an image, a facade, clinging to an idea of what I am. I am trying to manifest in a way that maintains a false front. We all play roles and that is a part of the human experience. We have the roles of our jobs, the role of caretaker, the role of addict, or the role of ill (physical and mental) etc etc. We identify with those roles so strongly that we become limited by them. We start manifesting for the roles and not for our souls and our higherselves. When we begin to believe that those roles are all that we are, then we begin to think that the roles are the truth of who we are, that is when we end up experiencing misery. We become short sighted. We become the force that limits ourselves.

It is this short sightedness that leads us to feel like we are not getting what we want. To create in our lives we create from our deeper truer selves. We all to often fall into the habit of seeing ourselves in terms of the exterior. This exterior focus then leads to our seeing a starting point and and ending point. We crave that "end" so badly that we begin to feel we have to control everything. We do not want to miss out, or have things get all "messed up". We are afraid to leave anything to "chance". The problem is we are the only thing that ever stands in our way. Our own perception of who we are, and our perceptions of how it is things need to look. We limit the path we take to get to the "end". Eventually creating a path so narrow it becomes impossible to stay on it. Then we feel that we are taking to long to get to this end goal, or that we are going in the wrong direction, because we can not stay on the narrow path we have created, that we begin trying to control even more. Leading to a cycle that is hard to escape. We run around forcing things around us, pushing all the answers before the questions have been asked. Further narrowing our perceived path. Through this control we actually end up prolonging our suffering.

The end is not the goal. The end is the carrot to keep us continuing on the journey even when it gets really tough. The journey is the goal. When we focus on that end we miss the point. When we narrow our paths we create a situation where we are so afraid of getting off the path that we can not do anything but focus on this perceived path. The experience of the present is missed and we cease to seek the joy in the everyday. We frantically yell and fight when our lives veer a little off this narrow, limited path we have perceived as the only way to that goal. Often missing the fact that perhaps the turn has lead to someplace even more beautiful. Perhaps stepping off that line a bit has created an opportunity. Opportunities that are even greater. We immediately say " I have to get back to that path" without even looking up to see where it is we are.

The trick is, the end always stays the same. That end point is guaranteed no matter how many twists and turns we take to get there. No matter how far we may feel we have stepped off our limited path ways. The straight line does not mean you " did it better". In fact the message this week is that its the unexpected turns and twists that are the point. Learning to go with those turns. Learning to surrender and to enjoy when things veer off our perceived paths. Looking up to fully experience and take in the wonder of the "detours" is the point. These detours challenge the roles that we have played. They challenge us to take on new roles, to drop some of our old roles. By having a willingness to change roles we acknowledge the temporary nature of all of those roles and we open up to recognizing the truth of who we are. The roles are there to serve us. To help us know a piece of ourselves. We are not there to serve the roles. We must allow ourselves to be more than we and others around us have perceived us to be. We are more than the caretaker, we are more than the secretary or boss, more than the addict, more than any illness or label that has ever been placed on us (either by ourselves or others around us). When we can look upon the unexpected as an adventure, as a chance to experience something new, to play a new role that will lead us to understand ourselves in a deeper way, instead of as a slow down in our growth, then we are truly getting the point of what it is we came here to do.

The message this week is to remember the big picture. When we open up, we are able to see that once we let go of control, once we stop limiting and narrowing the path that we allow ourselves to travel on during this journey, then we are open to joy. The adventure of life is what brings greatness. Being fixed and rigid in how we will allow that joy to come, in what we recognize as success or acceptable, leads to a feeling of failure and unease. We create with our thoughts, part of creating joy is to recognize the innate joy that lies hidden in every opportunity an experience (even those we did not plan or necessarily want). Even when it means dropping a role we have enjoyed. Through the surrender we allow a new role to rise up, allow ourselves to learn something new about the truth of who we are. Clinging to the old leads to stagnation.

Embrace your new roles, each and every one of them as they come to you, by being willing to let go of some old roles. Open up and allow that path to be wide and full of turns. Be willing to follow that path and to look up and experience to where it is you have been lead. The key to joy, the thing that all those people around us do, those who seem to have everything they want , is to surrender and enjoy where they are every moment. Embracing new roles and new ways to perceive themselves. That in the end is the only difference between bring joy or bring struggle into our lives. If you want to experience the magic and the power of this month it is important to be willing to surrender to whatever is brought to you. This includes allowing the old to drop, being willing to broaden out our paths a bit. By controlling and hanging on, June could be experienced as painful, and as a struggle instead of the gift it is meant to be.

With Love and Truth

Eve

if you are not on the list to receive an alert email when a new post is made please feel free to email me and I will add you to that email alert list.

Email; innreguidance@evetoomey.com

Energy Guide 6/1

Topic: Changing landscapes

May was not an easy month. For me things felt ungrounded. Communication was difficult and misunderstandings abounded. It felt like things around were shifting and like I did not fit with them in any way. Over the weekend it became more clear. I felt like that, because indeed that is what was happening. We were in an energy of change, of shifts in our environment. We have emerged from this phase and the dust is beginning to settle. It does not mean things stop changing. There is always movement. Things will now begin to reform after a period of shifting where things seemed to fall apart or breaking away.

What I have noticed is that towards the end of May things settled enough that I could begin to try to straighten up everything in my life after that seemed to have gotten shaken up and tossed around a bit. When I went to put things in there places there was an odd sensation like they did not fit where they had previously belonged. This week the message came in as I watched the people around me seem to be having very similar experiences. Things are not fitting in the way there were before. Relationships we counted on have changed. If we used to count on a particular friend for help with relationships, suddenly that friend is unavailable or uninterested in helping. If we used to use an item to perform a particular task, suddenly it does not work for that task. If we are used to fitting in to a particular group in a certain manner, we are finding that our role has shifted. This applies to social situations as well as work situations. Things have changed somehow.

At first experiencing this change can lead to panic. Like we have lost our places and our supports. A moment of panic sets in where we think perhaps we will be free falling for eternity. This particular shift seems to be very quick in leading us to what is next. Its like you have the moment of panic and then begin searching, scanning around to see how to organize these changes. We say " where are the new supports?" " What is my new role in this situation?" and unlike previous times where there was a long wait for an answer we are immediately lead to what is next. Lead to the new forms of support, lead to the new items and tools we can use, lead to our new roles in each experience and group.

Early June is about forming the new connections, putting the puzzle back together to form a different picture. We have been collecting these pieces of a puzzle and we have no picture, no template of what the finished puzzle will be. For many of us we began putting the puzzle together and we thought we had a pretty good idea of what the finished picture would look like. May showed us that perhaps we had that image wrong. May had us disassembling our puzzles a bit because things were not quite fitting. The puzzle could not be completed as it was currently set up. June is about collecting more pieces and finding a new way for the old pieces to fit. If a pieces of our puzzle does not seem to fit, the message is "do not discard it". The thought "this must be to someone else's piece"' is wrong. You only have access to your pieces. In the grand sceme eventually all of our individual puzzles fit together to form a grand mural, but at this phase you can be assured that you are only working on your section and only recieving your pieces. People around you offer clues to what the picture is by showing what their image is, since they will all eventually fit together.

The message for early June is to keep trying to see where each new piece you recieve fits and to see if the old pieces fit in a different place. Perhaps the picture you are creating is not what you thought it was. By rearranging the pieces and not forcing them into where you thought they should be you are open to let a new picture unfold for you.

Many people feel very positive things in June. I am being assured that is indeed the case. The middle to end of June is about new things manifesting in our lives. However, when you get what you want sometimes you find that you did not bargain for how it is you got it. Before you put a desire out there this month be sure that you want it, and that you are willing to take it however it may come to you. If there are things you do not want to have happen inorder to get what you are desiring be clear to the Universe about that. For example some people put a wish out for a big some of money to come to them and do not specify anything more. Then a close family member dies and they recieve an inheritance. We have all heard stories like that. June is set to bring us what we desire, but it is also a lesson in how everything in related. There is a balance between what we perceive as "good and bad". There is always a consequence to every movement in the Universe. Be aware of that connection as you draw your dreams towards you this month.

Do not be disheartened right now by dismantling your puzzle. Keep looking for new ways all the pieces fit together and keep open to the new pieces that will come in this month. You will not bedisappointed by the new form the puzzle is taking.

Inn Love and Truth

Eve

Email: evetoomey.com

Topic:keeping hope alive!

It seems as though things continue to come in waves. I notice waves of people I know losing jobs and homes, going through divorces. Things seem to settle for awhile and them another wave comes rolling in, tearing apart the fragile sandcastles we have worked so hard to build over our lifetimes. It seems as though when I watch the people around me, that no one is quite "safe" from this. For some, they see this continual crashing of the waves, tearing down of the castles that have been built as something bad, something to fear and try to hide from. For others there is a strange calm surrounding them. Generally what I have observed is that those who are impacted by the waves, those who's delicate castles were destroyed seem the most calm.Like they realize after "the worst" has happened that life goes on. The loss of a job did not mean their life ended.=A0 The loss of a home did not mean they cease to exist. The loss of a marriage did not mean they are alone or unloved. The loss of any of these things did not mean that all joy is gone. In fact some people have managed to find the simpler more fulfilling joy in their experiences. Some people have found themselves with a fresh perspective and a better outlook after " the worst" happened.

Those who seem to fear the most are those who have not yet lost anything. The anticipation of what a loss may look like is emotional and psychological torment. So much so that many of the people who are grounded in this fear are more unhappy than those who have experienced the losses first hand.

This observation speaks to the power of hope and the power of intention. This has been a theme that has been hard for me to see, hard to name. The message I have been getting is the importance of the tiny bit of hope that resides within all of us. It's small and it's unattached to exact outcomes. It says " everything will be ok in the end" and our job is to trust it. Too often though we feel that hope and then say " if hope exists then things will turn out exactly as I want them to", regardless of what is in our own best interest. I saw a speaker yesterday talk about hope in regards to a medical situation. He discussed a quote from a cancer surgeon that outlines the depth and variation of hope, it broadens the scope of what hope can be.
"Hope is important, but we have been limited to the kind of hope we prescribe...our idea that the only kind of hope is for a cure limits what we can offer. There are, in fact, many kinds of hope: hope for a good period of life ahead, hope for enriching relationships, hope for control of pain, hope for a strong sense of care and support"- David Spiegel

This struck me as applying to the message I had been receiving regarding hope in these tough times. It is a wonderful endeavor to have larger scale hope for the best case scenario. Hope for society at large. To hope that the economy turns around, to hope for our version of the best outcome for every situation we encounter. However, there are times that "bad things" happen as a way to lead to greater things ahead. As a way of clearing out something that is old and outmoded to make room for something greater.

Most of the time when the clearing happens we can not see that there is something better on its way. It is only afterward, when the dust has settled and the new has emerged, that we look back and think " that was the best thing that could have happened". In the moment we think our world is crumbling. By only focusing on our outcome and not having little bits of hope for the small things along the way, we limit ourselves.Hope for a good day, hope to see the sun shine, hope to spend time talking to good friends, hope to receive a hug from someone you love. Its these small hopes that drive us in the right direction. Help us get through the times when everything is clearing away. Its these small hopes that help open up possibilities. Its these small hopes the cause joy in our day to day.
Too easily we put everything into the large grand outcome we want and we miss all the reasons to celebrate along the way. We get to that destination and when things do not go exactly as we hoped, we say "see I knew it wouldn't workout, nothing ever works out for me". Meanwhile there were a million reasons to feel joy, and to feel hopeful that were missed, simply because our vision was to limited, too hyper focused to see them. We maybe even could have something better than what we are hoping for if we had been open to celebrating the small joys that lead us to where we need to be, effortlessly.

The message is about a shift in perspective.=A shift in the way we view our circumstances. We, in the end control our happiness, not the world. The poorest people in the world, people with horrible disabilities are sometimes, many times happier than the richest, most beautiful people who seem to have "everything". Why is that? The people with nothing of material value, the people who have to struggle physically day to day have learned to celebrate the little things.

A final quote to illustrate the part of this message that I find hard to put into words can be best summed up by the words of Vaclav Havel " Hope is an orientation of the heart...The more unpropitious the situation in which we demonstrate hope, the deeper the hope is...Without hope it is impossible to live in dignity and meaning, much less find the will for the "hopeless enterprise" which stands at the beginning of all good things"

We are standing at the edge of something good. Those who can feel beyond the fear feel something big coming. A shift, something deep changing in our world. The change feels good in the end, where ever that is, but there are growing pains associated with the process of getting from where we are now to that point. The vehicle that will get us through is our hope. Care for that hope and feel its flame burning within you everyday, especially when you feel beaten and let down.

A few of you have asked me about having these in a blog format so that they can be more easily viewed. I am working on trying to get them put into a blog form on my website. I am running into a few bumps (probably thanks to Mercury Retrograde!) I am hoping the blog format will make it easier for me to do posts, for people to read old posts and for more people to access these posts and share them with others. I am sure the kinks will be worked out with in the next couple of weeks (:

With Love and Truth
Eve

Topic: humanness

Its been a long time since I have been inspired to write or have been given the time to sit down and put all the pieces of inspiration that I receive into an email. I try to remain genuine and not force anything. I also take it as a sign that there is more to a message when I can not find the time to write. Such has been the case this last month. I received this message last week but was not able to write until today. It was timely to Easter and although the official celebration of Easter has past the message is still timely.

I received a vision of Jesus and a knowing about who he was as a person. We have deified this man because of his greatness and the greatness of his message. However, in doing so I believe we miss a big piece of the message. Jesus was a person acting in physical form just as the rest of us. Jesus saw great injustices going on at the hands of the Roman Empire and the higher religious class. He saw the poor having the small amount they were able to gain taken away due to the greed of those in power. He saw people who did not always have food to eat or a place to sleep. He saw all of this in the way we can still see it today. Seeing this injustice inspired him to act however. People of Jesus' time felt like things had to change, like things could not go on the way they were. Jesus spread a message that power needed to shift, that the corruption of the old ways needed to crumble. He preached a message against the greedy accumulation of
wealth, against profiting at the expense of others. He preached humility. Many of the things Jesus preached went directly against the church itself. He took a stand for humanity. Along with many others of his time. A shift occurred as a result.

Since that time things have slowly drifted back so that we now find ourselves in a similar state of being. Most of the wealth is controlled by a few. Money and power often take precedent over people. As a society more than in previous times we are beginning to feel this sense that a major shift is about to unfold. It has felt like for the past few years that we are gearing up for something. For some, they believe that another great prophet will come to make this shift. The message I received was that we are all responsible for this shift. During Jesus' time he was not here to do it for those who were living. He was an example of a different way of living. In the present day and time we still can hear that call. We can choose to be living examples of a different way.

When we are faced with greed and fear we can follow the example and stay strong in our truth. We can know that as we choose to value people over material. As we choose to stand up and fight against corruption of our systems. As we choose to live from a place of love, care and respect for those around us and for our planet, that we begin to make the shift we have been feeling. We are the force, each person. We are the momentum that will bring about the changes. One by one as we make a choice, we choose to not buy into the dying systems, we create the possibilities for the future.

At Easter we focus on the death and resurrection of Jesus. His physical death was so significant and yet most of us have entirely missed the point. When the physical body of Jesus died it was made apparent that his physical body was not the light. The light was a spark within him. It was not extinguishable by the death of his body. His message could not be stopped as those in power had hoped to stop him by his crucifixion. That spark remained and is the same spark that is within each of us. The changes he began with his life and his work continued because that act of taking his physical body could not stop the message.

This past month I have been surrounded by and experiencing heightened fear and negative thoughts. People continue losing jobs, homes, relationships, loved ones. The tendency is to cling to what is falling away. To wish that we had it back, or to spend countless hours focused on what else we may lose. To focus all our thoughts on wishing for thing back or hoping everything stays the same. We continually pour more and more energy into this lack based reality. Focusing everything on what is wrong and on the things we fear the most.

The message I received on this is that we need to take time to imagine the possibilities. Anytime things are taken it creates room for something new. We sit and pine for things to be back to the old way. Wanting that job that had us stressed out and working late, wanting that relationship where we were not valued or treated respectfully. We limit ourselves with those thoughts and we create blocks that prevent greater things from coming to us as a result of all these "loses". We need to take the time to shift our focus. When something falls away or when we feel like we may lose something instead of going to fear, we need to take time to think about the best possible outcome. What about a better job or a more fulfilling relationship. Focus on the details of those things and most importantly believe its possible and believe you deserve it. Why hang onto the fear and cling to the old?

Jesus' life and his work was an example for us of how to view our world and of the creative power of our thoughts. When he saw a leper he did not focus on the illness, but on the health and that person became healthy. When he saw someone who acted in a bad way he saw the good in that person and they became good. We have the same abilities. That was not something that died on the cross with Jesus. It became clear that day, that the power did not die and it remains within each of us. Taking the body could not undo what he was showing us with his life. We have the opportunity to choose to accept this legacy that was left for us and to begin to create the world with the power of our thoughts and actions, or we can be influenced by fear, and drawn to cling to the old because we think that is all there is.

One last exercises that I was given last last week in a meditation. I was shown a golden box. Due to this weeks theme I saw Jesus by the box and he instructed me to open it. Within the box was everything I could ever want physical things as well as conceptual things such as harmony in relationships, health, calmness etc. I was told that all I needed to do when I was feeling lack was to visualize the box and imagine taking out what it is I needed. Somethings I may receive immediately and others would come in due time- but always my true needs would be met. I was told this is true for everyone and that anyone can go to this box. It may look different for different people. What was important is the act of imagining getting what it is you need and most importantly not focusing on the lack or limiting what you think you can receive.

For me this has been a good message to receive on Easter. To remember the permanency of what it is Jesus left us all, and to reflect on the example his life was for what is possible for all of us. His death was a final proof that the truth of his life and his teachings could not be suppressed.

With Love and Truth
Eve

Web evetoomey.com
email: innerguidance@evetoomey.com
